Landed cost is the total price a customer pays including duties, taxes, and shipping. DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) means these costs are shown upfront at checkout so there are no surprise charges at delivery.
How do HS code classifications work?
RateTell uses AI to suggest HS codes for your products based on their title, type, tags, and other metadata. You review and approve each classification before it's used at checkout. You can also manually enter codes.
How accurate are the duty and tax estimates?
The estimates are based on your product's HS code classification, the destination country's tariff schedule, carrier shipping rates, and declared value. Well-classified products with complete data produce the most reliable estimates. Final amounts are determined by customs authorities at the time of import and may vary.
Which carriers do you support?
